The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation: supporting school and college readiness

Phi Sigma Sigma at Muhlenberg has participated in many events and fundraisers to support our national philanthropy, the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation. The Phi Sigma Sigma foundation supports school and college readiness. This year Phi Sigma Sigma at Muhlenberg created a new fundraiser, The Phi Sig School Zone. This was a 12 hour school themed carnival. Students of the Muhlenberg Community were invited to play games like Are you Smarter than a Phi Sig, buy raffle tickets for big prizes, and watch amazing performances. All proceeds went to the Phi Sigma Sigma foundation in support of a local elementary school in the Allentown area. The chapter was successful in their new event and raised $3000 for the cause. Amongst other things, we have plans to have school supply drives in the upcoming semesters and  we have volunteered in the local Allentown school district. We're very excited to use our resources to the best of our ability to benefit children and teens as develop intellectually and socially. In addition, Phi Sigma Sigma at Muhlenberg has also taken an active role in supporting the American Cancer Society. This year Phi Sigma Sigma had a large involvment in Relay for Life on our campus and the day was dedicated to one of our sisters, a survivor of thyroid cancer.
